Dasakam 21   Nanda suthavatharam – Incarnation as son of Nanda

 (  This  Dasaka deals with Krishna’s birth..As per the instructions from the sky , Vasudeva took him to    the place of Nandagopa, and laid Krishna there    and brought back  you born to Yasodha.Kamsa came to know of it and dashed  you on a rock.You told that his death was in a far off place   and disappeared.Kamsa instructed his servants to kill all  babies born that night and thought , his job was done.  This is in chapter   23 of the 4^th book of Devi BHagwatha,)

1.SArvepi  jeevaa   nija karma badhaa,

Yethe  hadaasandhruhinasya  pouthraa,

Thannindhayaa  daithya kule  prajaathaa,

Punascha   sapthaa janakena  daivaaath.

1,All the souls    are truly    tied by Karma,

And these six people aho were grand sons ,

Of God Brahma, due to their  blaming Brahma,

Were born in Asura clan   and by   the  will of God,

Were   again cursed   by their father.

2.Thenaiva   they  souri suthathvamaapthaa,

Hathaascha   kamsena thu Jatha   nathraa ,

Sri Naradenarshi varena  devi,

Jnatham   puravarthamidham  samastham.

2,That is why they  became the sons of Vasudeva,

And were killed by Kamsa as soon as   they were born,

And  Oh Goddess   , all these   were made known,

By Narada  the greatest   among sages.

3,Praag dampathi  chadhikasyapou  haa,

Swakarma   doshena o punascha  jaathoum

Thou   Devaki   soorasuthou   swaputhra-,

Nasaadhi bhir   dukhaamavaapathuscha.

3.Kasyapa and Adithi     who  were  ,

Ancient couples were  re born as Vasudeva,

And Janaki   due to the  problem with their  karma,

And suffered great sorrow   alas, due to destruction of their sons  .

4,Thwam devaki  sapthama garbatho vai,

Gruhvanyananthaamsa sisum   swa sakthyaa ,

Nivesaya  Rohibyudhare dharnayaam,

Marthyo bhaveth  achyuthamaadisascha.

4,You   yourself due to   your power  of attraction,

Attracted the  baby  who was  incarnation of Anantha,

From DEvaki’s womb   and  placed   in the womb of Rohini,

And you also  ordered lord Vishnu to be born  as human being.

5.Praak  karmadoshath   sa suhrun  maghona,

Krudhena  saptho   brugunaa  muraari ,

Dayaarhasamsaari dasamavapsayan,

Haa  devaki  garbha madha aavivesa.

5.That Vishnu   who was the fiend   of Indra due,

To problems of earlier Karma was cursed by ,

The  angry sage Brugu, that   he should   attain a status,

When he  would need kindness   of others,

Reached   the   womb of Devaki , alas.

6.Purne   thu garbhe  hariratha rather ,

Kaara gruhe devaka nandanayya,

Jajne sutheshvashta mathaam mavapthaa,

Souri vimuktho   nigadaischa   bandaath.

6.When the  pregnancy period     was complete.

In the prison at midnight. Lord Vishnu  was born,

As her eighth   son and vasudeva,

Got free    from the ties of the   chains.

7,Vyomathda vaakyena   thavaiva baalam,

GruhaNnana khalu geha paalai,

Nidhraam   gathaisthvaddhi vruthena sourer,

Ddarena   yaatho   bahi ratha    dosham.

7.Due to your   announcement   through  the sky,

Vasudeva   took the child, without being noticed,

By the sleeping   security, Came out happily,

Though the doors, which were  opened by you.

8.THwam swechaya   gopa kule  yasodha-,

Nandathmajaa swaapitha jeeva jaale,

Ajaayadhaa  bhatha  janarthi hanthri,

Sarvam niyanthro sakalarthda dathri.

8.You , who removes the sorrow   of your devotees,

Who keeps everything under control and  who fulfills,

All desires, of  your own accord  was born as  ,

The  daughter  of Nandagopa and Yasodha,

When all    the beings   there  were deep asleeo,

9.Thava prabhavaad vasudeva yeko,

Gachanna bheetho  yamana  mayathram,

Theerthwaa nadhim  gokulamaapa thathra  .

Daasyaakare   swam   thanayam dadhou cha.

9.9.Vasudeva   alone  travelled   without any fear,

And by your power   crossed   river   Yamuna  ,

Very easily, rached Gokulaand entrusted ,

His son  in the   hands  of a maid.

10.Thayaiva   dahamadha  baalikaam thwaa-,

Maadhaaya seegram   sa thatho nivrutha,

Karagruham   prapya   dadhou priyaayai,

Sa  chaabhavath   poorva vadheva   badha.

10.Later he   took  you,the  female baby child,

Given by her and returned   with great speed,

Reached the jail  and gave  you to his dear wife,

And  like earlier   he was tied   .

11,Thwad rodhanothapitha geha paalair,

Nivedhitho   bhojapathi   samethya,

Thwaam  paada   yugma grahanena kurvan,

Adha  siraskaam niragaadhath gruhanthaath.

11.Informed by the security who were  woken up,

By your cry, Kamsa  came    running,

And catching both of your legs with your head down,m

He came   out   of the   jail.

12.Sa podhayamasa  silathale thwaam,

Sadhya  samuthpathya karaadhamushya,

Divi sthithaa  sankha gadhaadhi hasthaa,

Surai   sthuthaa  smeramukhi  thwamatdha.

12,He  beat you on a stone with great force,

And you slipped   out of his hands and rose up,

.With devas praising and holding  ,

The mace   and conch in your hands,

Standing on the sky  , you told him with a smile

13,Vadhena kim  may   thava kamsa , Jatha-,

Sthavanthaka  kkapya vidhoora   dese,

Maa druhyathamm sadhu jano hitham  swam,

Vichinthayeth  yukthavathi   thiro aabhoo.

13.Hey Kamsa, What would   you get by killing me?

Your God of death is brn in a place   not far from here,

You should not trouble good people, Please think,

About future good”saying this you disappeared.

14,Sa bhojaraat  swantha nasanaaya,

Sarvaan   sisoon  hanthumaram  balishtaan,

Vathaaghanukhyaan asuraan  niyujya  ,

Krutharthamathmaanmanyathochai.

14.That king of Bhoja, to kill his killer  ,

Appointed several  powerful asuras,

To kill all the  babies born, and became happy,

That he has done all that was   needed.

15.Kamsisthgi  may  chethaasi  kamalobha,

Krodhadhi manthri pravarai   sametha,

Sadbhavahanthaa  khalu  nanda  puthri,

Tham  naasaya  thwacharanam   namami.

15,That Kamsa  had  passion , avarice  and anger,

As his ministers and destroyed  all good thoughts from his mind,

Oh Daughter  of Nanda, Please  destroy him,

And I am saluting    your feet.
