Dasakam 39 Mani dweepa nivasini –She who resides in
Mani dweepa
(In this the Mani Dweeepa in the ocean of nectar ,
where the goddess resides is described..These are contained in
chapter 10, 11 and 12 of Book 12 of the Devi Bhagawatham.)

1.Sudha samudhrop jagathaam thrayaanaam,
Chathri bhavan manju tharanga phena,
Savaalukaasaumkha vichithra rathna,
Sathara kavyomasamo vibhaathi.
1.The ocean of nectar with beautiful waves
and foams,
Sand dunes with conches and
several type of gems,
Is like the broad sky filled
with stars,
And is shining like an umbrella to the
three worlds.
2.Than Madhya pradeshe vimalam manidei-,
Paakhyam padam devi
viraajathe they,
Yaduchyathe samsruthi naasa kari,
SArvotharam paavana paavanam.
2.Oh Goddess , in the middle of that ocean , your ,
Residence called the very pure Mani dhweepa,which
Is shining and it has been told
that it destroys,
All sorrows and ,is the greatest and purest of the pure.
3,Thathraasthyayodhathu mayo manojna,
Saalo mahaa sara maya sthathascha,
Yevam cha thaamraadhimayaa kilaashtaa-,
Dasathi chithraa varanaa lasanthi.
3.In that there is a pretty fort
made of steel,
And like this there are also
eighteen
Other forts made of brass and other metals,
And they shine in different colours
4.Thairavrutham they patamaadwitheeyam,
Vibhaathi chinthamani sadhya devi,
Santhyathra sath sthambha sahasra ramya-,
Srubgaara mukhyaadhika mandsapaaschaa.
4.Oh Goddess , surrounded by those
your,
Chinthamani Gruha which is second to none,
Is shining and in that every
hall has ,
One thousand pillars and arenas
for love sports.
5,Brahmanda koti sukhamaava santha,
Upaasakaasthe manujaa suraascha,
Dathyaascha sidhaascha thadhethare cha,
Yadanthatho yaanthi o padam yadhedhad.
5.This Chithamani gruha is the
place where men,
Drvas, Aruras , Sidhas and
others who worship you,
Who are devoted to you reach at
their end.
6.Thwam mandasthaabahu sakthi yukthaa,
Srunopi devi kaLa geethakaani,
Jnaanam vimukthim cha dadhaasi loka-,
Rakshaamajasre kurushe cha devi.
6.In that hall you along with your many
shakthis,
Oh goddess are sitting and hearing the
sweet music,
Of other Devism, grant wisdom as well
as salvation,
And always protect all
the worlds.
7,Manchosthi chinthamani gehadasthem
Brahma hari rudra iheswarascha,
Khuraa bhavanthasya sadaashivasthu,
Viraajathe sath phalakathwamaaptha.
7.In Your Chithamai Gruha there is a cot,
Whose four legs are Brahma , Vishnu,
Rudra and Easwara and the God sadashiva ,
Shines as the plank of that cot.
8.Thasyopari sri bhuvaneswari thwam,
sArvesa vaamanga thale nishannam
Chathurbhujaa bhooshana bhooshithaangi,
Nirvyaja kaarunyavathi vibhaasi.
8,Oh Goddess of universe on that cot,
You are raining mercy without any
reason
And along with four hands and several types ,
Of ornaments are sitting on the left Thigh of
the great god.
9,Pratheekshanam kaarayasi thwamichaa,
Jnana kriyaa sakthi samanvithaathra,
Trimoothibhi sakthi sahara yukthaa,
Brahmanda sarga sthithi samhrutheescha.
9, Along with the power of desire , wisdom
and action,
And along with one thousand Shakthis
sitting there ,
Every minute you get done creation , upkeep,
And destriction by aid of the
holy trinity of Gods
10.Saa thwam hee vaachaam manaso
apyagamya,
Vichitha roopaasi sadaapya
roopaa,
Pura sathaam sannihithaa krupaardraa ,
Sadaa mani dwwepa nivasini cha
10.Ypu who are like that are unreachable by
the mind,
Exist without any form at any time and
with several different forms,
And are there completely
drenched in mercy and at that time,
You also live there in side the Mani dhweepa.
11,Maathar madanthakarane nishannaa,
Vidhyaa mayam maam kuru bandha muktham,
Bandham cha Moksham cha
dadhaasya sakthaa,
Daasosmi they devi Namo Namasthe.
11.OH mother you please sit in my mind
and make,
Me one with learning, detached from every thing,
You who arew not bound by anything and does not,
Have likes or dislikes are giving
attachments,
As well as salvation and I being ,
Your slave , again and again salute you.
