Drushtwaa  shamodhair  dhanuthe   samoolam,
Sa bhagyavaan   devi thava  priyascha.

1,Oh Goddess , He, who   for his   progress of good,
Sees himself inside him, , criticizes   himself,
Who finds  out his own shortcomings and adopts,
Unbiasedness  and other qualities   and uproots,
Such shortcomings , he alone  is dear to you.

2,Mind  would not become pure by  learning,

Oh mother just by   touching  you,
It would become   as clear   as the  mirror,

3,By doing  Yajna     you do not become pure ,
For  Moon who did Yajna, becoming very passionate,

Of great sages and he using   his Vajrayudha ,

Both of them got   angry with    each other,
And did they not  curse   each  other,
One of them became a golden deer and other a crane

6,Dhanaani   pushtaani   gurunadhathrun,
Swaan bhaarghvaan   puthra  kalathra  bhaajaa ,
Kruddhaa   param  haihaya  bhoomi palaa,
Nyapeedayan   ko athra  vishudha  chitha

6,The Haihaya  kings greatly troubled  their own Gurus,
Bhargavas , who  did not give them the  money demanded,

7. Those who are covetous   kill their   thoughts.
And to what   extent will   they not go?
Though  Yudishtra    and others   were  followers of Dharma,
Because  they  coveted the  kingdom, in the war  they killed,
Their  grand father , relatives   and their great Gurus.

8.Krishnopadishto   janamejayasthu,
Shuddhantharanga pitharam makhena ,

With  a clean consciousness, made  free from sin,
His father Parikshith , made   him very great ,
And sent him    to your   land.

Their bad habits, would  get merged with you.

Inclination for Yoga, control over the mind,
And I am falling in to the darkness   called Thamas,
