Dasakam 11- Brahma  Narada  SAmvadam-Discussion  between Brahma  and Narada

 (Once sage Narada   wanted to know , the   principle behind creation and he   asked Lord Brahma , his father about it  .Lord Brahma replied to   him in detain emphasizing Parasakthi is responsible for it and she gets it done  through the trimuthies   though she lives in the middle of the ocean of nectar, This is given in the seventh chapter   of the third  book of Devi Bhagawatha,)

1.Sri  narada   padmaja meka dhaaha,
Pithastwaya srushtamidham   jagath kim,
Kim Vishnunaa  vaa giressanaa vaa kim,
Makarthrukam   vaa sakaleswara   ka

1.Once sage Narada approached  Lord Brahma,
And asked him, “Is this world made by you?
Is it Lord Vishnu, Is it by  Lord  Shiva,
Or is not  not created by any? Who is the greatest God?

2.Itheeritho aja suthamaha  saadhu,
Prushtam   thwayaa  narada  maam   srunu thwam.
Vibhathi Devi khalu sarva   sakthi,
Swaroopini saa bhuvanasya   hethu,

2.Brahma   replied to him  who asked me like his,
“Oh Narada  , your question is for good only,
Please  hear me, the Goddess  shines  as ,
The combination of all Shakthis,
She is the only cause  of this   world/,

3.Yekam param  Brahma  sada dwitheeya-
MaathmethiVedantha  vachobir ukytha,
Na saa  Oumaan Sthree cha nirgunaa saa,
Sthreethwam   cha pumsathwam  cha  gunair dadhaarhi.

4, The single entity   without another second ,  the essence  of divinity,
And the soui   is the goddess  as described   by the Vedas,
And she is neither a man nor woman and though  she o is property less,
She assumes  properties   and wears  feminineness  and masculinity

5.Gaunaani  cha antha  karanendryaani,
Saa  nirgunaa  avangthi agocharaa  cha,
Saa stotra manthrai   saguna  mahadbhi,
SAmsthuyathe bhaktha  vipannihanthei.

5.Her insides   and sense organs    are very good,
But she is without properties. Unreachable  to words  and intelligence,
She has good in her   and she destroys  dangers of devotees,
And she is one who is prayed  to  by manthras by great souls.

6.Sudhaa samudhre vasathiyamaaryaa,
Dweepe   vichithra adbutha  sakjthi yuktha,
Sarva jagad yad    vasagam  vayam cha  ,
Trimurthiyo  nama   yadasrithaa sma.

6,She who is a gentle woman   lives  in an island,
On the  ocean of nectar with wonderful power.
We who are  famous of trinity   of Gods also know,
That the world is under her control and worship her.

7.Thadatha  sakthi r thraya  maathra bajaaa,
Strimurthya puthra   vayam vineetha,
Thadajnayaa   sadhu  sadaapi  kurmo  ,
Brahmanda sarga  sthithi samhrutheescha.

7.Oh son   we the holy trinity  having the  three ,
SAkthis   given by her , depend upon them,
And as per   her orders and as per rule  look after,
The creation, upkeep and destruction of   the universe.

8.Deivena  moodam  kavimaathanothi,
Saa durbalam   thu prabalam   karothi,
Pangum  giri  langyathe  sa mookam,
Krupavathi chaa aathanuthe suvacham.

8.She who is merciful   makes   wise  that  one,
Who is made as a fool by god, makes famous,
That one   who lacks strength , makes a lame,
One climb the mountains and makes  the dumb speak.

9.Yath   kinchid ajnaayi  mayaa  mahathwam,
Devyaa  sthaduktham   thava  sangrahena,
Sarvathra  thad  varbnaya  vistharena,
Vidhasthwa bakthihrudaye  janaanaam.

9.Whatever little   that  I  know about  her,
Greatness   was taught   to you  by me  ,
In a brief manner.Please   describe uit,
Fully   everywhere and create  devotion in minds of people.

10.Itheerithi ajena   muni prasanna-,
Sthava  prabhaavam   karunardra  chithe,
Vyasam   thadhaanyaamscha yadhochitham  sa,
Prabodhayaamaasa  pavithra   vagbhi.

10,Oh Goddess   who has a mind  melting by mercy,
Those sages who   were  told like this by Brahma ,
Became happy, praised   sage Vyasa   and several others,
And with pure words, told about your  greatness  using proper words.

11.Na me   guru sthava   charithasya   vakthaa,
Ne may   mathi sthava smarainka   sakthaa,
Avaachya vakthahamakarya  karthaa,
Namami   mathascharanambujam they.

11,I  Do not have A Guru who can describe your story,
Nor   do I have a mind  which is  firm on your  meditation,
And due to this, I am doing   what   should not be done,

And oh mother   I salute    your  lotus   like   feet.
